My name is Matthew Chambers; I live in California and am currently pursuing a doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering, and I have modest backgrounds in languages, music, and dance. My favorite authors are Tolkien and Chesterton.
I enjoy flights of fancy as well as works of profound truth. Like all members of the College, I recognize the authority of the one catholic Church; thus, this College: to ensure amongst ourselves adherence to what is true and to avoid the sorts of fiction that stray into curiositas.
My interests are artistic, not pragmatic; expression, not argument. The work I intend is not primarily for the challenging of minds and wills already badly corrupted, but for the expression of the certain things that I hold valuable. In any case, it is easier to snap a man out of a foolish stupor than to argue him out of it piecemeal or beat him into submission.
