An enjoyable little piece.

I liked your portrayal of the “enlightened” liberal academic who spends his days as a drain on society, thriving on the sound of his own voice, but unwilling to stand and defend his himself.

The argument and insults between Hermand and Santere could be subtler at first. Also perhaps 20 years is a little long for the revolution to last, unless you are trying to draw a parallel with the return of the king in this story and the Bourbon Restoration in France.

I don’t know how marketable this is considering the bias against monarchy which exists even amongst traditionalists in North America.
